State College, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Four years of college can seem to fly by, but there aren't many groups of college athletes that have dealt with more than the senior football players at Penn State, including Johnson City's own DaQuan Jones.

Jones is preparing for his fourth season in Happy Valley. He enters preseason camp this week as one of the starting defensive tackles for this year's Nittany Lion team.

Jones is also expected to be a leader on defense, as he has the most starts of any defensive lineman entering the season. At media day on Thursday though, he reflected on where he is as a senior.

"It has been a roller coaster, I mean I've been able to play with a lot of special guys, a lot of special players," said Jones. "This place has been great to me, everyone here, the family, the school, academic wise everything is going good. I couldn't ask to be in a better place, and I just want to enjoy the last couple of months I have here."

"I think he'll play with a sense of urgency," said Larry Johnson, the Nittany Lions defensive line coach. "I think he understands where he's at, as a senior, most seniors do. And he wants to do good, he wants to do good for the defense and he wants to play well, and I think he will."

Jones and the Nittany Lions open up their season at MetLife Stadium against Syracuse August 31.
