(WBNG Binghamton) Johnson City grad DaQuan Jones is preparing for life after Penn State University. For him that's spending the week showing off for NFL scouts in Alabama.

Jones is competing in Saturday's Senior Bowl, but throughout the week in Mobile, AL every one of his practices is watched by scouts, general managers and even NFL head coaches.

The process includes interviews and plenty evaluation of the senior defensive tackle. DaQuan said he's just trying to put his best foot forward.

"I think I'm doing pretty good, I'm just trying to make sure I'm coachable and trying to listen to the technique I'm trying to learn," said Jones. "It's way different than what I've been doing so I'm just trying to grasp it as quickly as possible."

Jones wasn't unprepared for what he is facing this week at the Senior Bowl though. One of his former Penn State teammates gave him a scouting report on the week before he stepped foot in Alabama.

"Jordan Hill played in it last year so he kind of informed me with the whole process and what's going on with practice and with the media," Jones said. "I'm just enjoying it and trying to learn as I go."

The Senior Bowl is Saturday at 4 p.m. in Mobile, AL.
