Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Cornell University lacrosse standout Rob Pannell has been granted a fifth year of eligibility by the NCAA and the Ivy League.
Pannell missed most of last season with an injury.
Under Ivy rules, eligibility beyond four calendar years requires approval of the Executive Director.
One main factor for the extra year is the fact that Pannell will complete his remaining degree requirements and additional courses that support his career goals during the spring 2013 semester.
He ranks second all-time in Cornell history in assists, is third overall in points and sixth overall in goals.
