State College, PA (WBNG Binghamton) The Penn State Nittany Lions saw their 5 game winning streak come to an end, after a 35-23 loss to Ohio State.
It was also their first Big 10 loss of the season.
The Nittany Lions made several mistakes during the game, including committing 9 penalties and had an interception returned for a touchdown.
They also failed to convert on a 4th down deep in Ohio State territory, and a 4th down on a fake punt.
Even with the mistakes by the players, head coach Bill O'Brien put all the blame for the loss on himself.
"I didn't do a very good job tonight as the head football coach. I have to do a much better job for this football team. And so, we made mistakes, but we win as a team, we lose as a team and it starts with me," says head coach Bill O'Brien.
O'Brien said several times that he couldn't wait to watch the tape of that game and start getting his players ready for their next game Saturday on the road against Purdue.
