Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Bearcat baseball team will start the America East tournament against a University of Albany team that just swept a 4 game series a couple of weeks ago.

Players say they learned a lot from that series, because all the games were so close.

Coach Tim Sinicki feels his team will only go as far as the pitching will take them.

"I think it's the strength of our team and you know we're talking about 18 to 22 year olds here and they're not always going to have their best stuff. But we feel like our number one guy Mike Augliera has been as good and as consistent as anyone in the conference all year," says head coach Tim Sinicki.

"I still, I guess I have the most confidence in my offense, you know I don't worry about the runs I give up because I know that our team will come back next inning and get them back for me," says starting pitcher Mike Aguliera.

The Bearcats will start things off tomorrow morning at 11:00 am in the double elimination tournament.

Tuesday they learned 6 players earned all-conference honors.

Senior pitcher Mike Augliera and junior closer Lee Sosa were selected to all-conference first team, junior pitcher Jake Lambert and sophomore second baseman Daniel Nevares were named to the second team and freshmen Brian Ruby and Jake Thomas made the All-Rookie Team.
