Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

Meanwhile that work on campus sent the BU baseball team to NYSEG stadium today.
That's where the team was put thru a workout in front of several pro scouts, trying to see who will be the next professional baseball player out of Binghamton.

" They're all aware of the people we've had that went on and got drafted and are playing professional baseball and I think what it says is we're out there recruiting and working hard. My staff and I are hitting the road all summer long and spring time. Trying to recruit quality players not just for our program but guys that can play professionally down the road."

" It's been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. I came to college with the goal of one day playing professional baseball. I hope I have a good enough year, we win ourselves a conference championship and hopefully a team will like me enough to pick me."
Earlier this year former Bearcat Scott Diamond made his big league debut, and won a game for the Minnesota Twins.
He just pitched in Yankee stadium on Monday.
