Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

" Every year so far we've kind of under achieved. We have a lot of talent and we haven't made it far in the tournament."
Universally the Bearcats say that is about to change.
Once again they are a guard dominated team, and leading the way will be a likely all-conference preseason pick, junior Andrea Holmes.

" I don't think we can say it enough about the great chemistry we have this year with the returners and the freshman coming in. And I think the one big key is everyone trusts coach Scholl now."

Jackie Ward is the team's only senior, so Holmes knows a lot will be expected of her as a leader.

That has given the Memphis native one big thing to work on...

" I don't know why, but my voice doesn't carry at all. But I've been working on it."

Each player speant their offseason working to improve.
The team's top post player went home to Estonia to play for her national team against professional competition.

Viive Rebane says, " I think the main thing is just to see how hard they work and how they just never give up. They want to win every possession. I think thats...I learned a lot on the mental side of the game."
Coach Scholl joked this is the easy part.
Every team is undefeated and believes they can be a championship team.
The hard part is actually doing it.

Senior Jackie Ward says, " It's like we have great talent. We have great returners. We have great frehman who came in this year. We have so much that I think it's kind of like, why not this year?"
