Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton University sophomore basketball player Jordan Reed was named America East Co-Player of the Week by the conference on Monday.
Reed averaged 21.5 points and 15.5 rebounds in two games for the Bearcats this past week.
He earned a double-double in both games, which was the first time he had recorded at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in a game since being held out of the game against Albany.
Coach Tommy Dempsey said after Saturday's win over Maine, his play is not only helping the team win, but also making everyone around him better.
"When he plays at that level emotionally it gives his coaches, his teammates, the young team he's playing on, a confidence," said Dempsey. "I mean he's diving on every ball, and diving into the bleachers, and doing it all. It's inspiring."
Reed shares this week's honor with Vermont's Sandro Carissimo. The Bearcats head to UNH for their next game on Wednesday.
