Syracuse better enjoy hotel beds because the Orange certainly has seen a lot of them over the last week. After spending most of last week in New York City for the Big East Tournament, SU is already off to San Jose, CA for the NCAA Tournament.

The Orange drew the number four seed in the East Regional, but in order to end up at the regional site in Washington D.C. Syracuse has to survive its first two rounds in San Jose. SU starts with 13th seeded Montana Thursday, who has a considerably shorter trip to play the game, and the Orange admits travel will be one of the team's obstacles.

"You look at the bracket and you know California is right there, UNLV is close by, so it's a tremendous challenge for us," said coach Jim Boeheim. "But we're looking forward to the challenge."

"Us having a five hour plane ride may be a little bit hard, but I think we're battle tested," said senior Brandon Triche. "You know, we're ready for anything that is thrown at us."

Syracuse left Monday for San Jose, sending the team around 2,900 miles away from the Carrier Dome. To compare, Montana has almost a third of the trip, as Missoula, MT is only about 1,000 miles away. The Orange and Grizzlies square off Thursday, with the tip time scheduled around 10 pm.
