A goal by Bryan Weinert (John Jay H.S./Wappingers Falls) with 1:02 left in the game Monday gave the Tompkins Cortland Community College lacrosse team more history – the first playoff win in the program's history. The #9 seed Panthers beat #8 Broome Community College 10-9 in the first round of the NJCAA Region III playoffs Monday, winning a playoff game in the program's first try. The win improves TC3's record to 9-7 overall and advances the Panthers to the regional quarterfinal round Wednesday, where TC3 will face the top-ranked team in the nation, three-time defending national champion Onondaga Community College.
