New York, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton University senior Erik Van Ingen placed 5th in the Wanamaker Mile at the 2012 Melrose Games in New York City.
He finished in 5th place overall with a time of 3 minutes 59.37 seconds.
It's a school record and it qualifies him for the NCAA meet at the end of the year.
He was the 2nd fastest college athlete in the race.
