    VESTAL (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton (4-19, 1-9 America East) stood toe-to-toe with league-leading Stony Brook (17-7, 9-1 AE) for 40 minutes but the Seawolves closed out the game with an 8-2 run to escape with a 58-53 win in front of a season-high 4,635 and an ESPN3 audience Tuesday at the Events Center.

    Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Following a run to the NCAA Final Four, the Cornell men's lacrosse team faced a tumultuous offseason. The team was involved in a hazing incident, and as a punishment the school canceled the Big Red's fall scrimmages.

  • Bearcats roar past Boston U. on the mats

    VESTAL (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton wrestling used four straight wins to rally past fellow EIWA member Boston University (3-8) 23-18 Sunday at West Gym. The Bearcats (4-10) trailed 15-4 halfway through the match before two pins and a major decision fueled the comeback.

  • Syracuse tops Duke; now 21-0 for first time

    SYRACUSE (WBNG BINGHAMTON) No. 2 Syracuse converted 7-of-8 free throws and outscored No. 16 Duke 7-2 in the final 71 seconds of overtime to knock off the Blue Devils 91-89 in front of a record sellout crowd of 35,446 at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Feb. 1.
