    Indianapolis, IN (WBNG Binghamton) The Syracuse women's basketball team's historic season came to an end on Tuesday night, falling 82-51 to No. 1 Connecticut in the NCAA Women's Basketball National Championship game.

  • McIver and Skidmore earn weekly America East honors

    Vestal NY (WBNG Binghamton) Senior designated player Griffin Mclver has been named the America East Softball Player of the Week. Junior infielder Brendan Skidmore has been named the America East Baseball Player of the Week.

  • King Rice earns national coaching award

    (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton High School graduate and Monmouth basketball head coach King Rice has been named John McLendon National Coach of the Year, his first national honor. The John McLendon award is presented annually to the top collegiate head coach, encompassing Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA and JUCO.

    Indianapolis, IN (WBNG Binghamton) The No. 14/15 Syracuse women's basketball team dances to the NCAA Women's Basketball National Championship game with a dominant 80-59 victory over Washington on Sunday night to put the program one win away from an NCAA Championship.

  • North Carolina pulls away from Syracuse

    Houston (AP) Marcus Paige made three 3-pointers in the second half to help North Carolina get on-track from long range and stifle a Syracuse rally for an 83-66 victory that moved the Tar Heels one win from the program's sixth title.

  • New Hampshire rallies past Binghamton

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (4-7, 0-1 AE) let the lead slip away late as they fell to New Hampshire (5-6, 2-0 AE) 9-8 in overtime.

  • Bearcats sweep Albany to stay unbeaten in conference

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Surging Binghamton baseball (10-15, 6-0 America East) swept a twinbill from visiting Albany (8-16, 1-5 AE), winning 9-4 and 8-6 Saturday at Varsity Field. The Bearcats have won eight of their last 10 games and at 6-0, are off to the program's best conference start in 15 years of America East membership.

  • Four homers power Bearcats past Albany

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton baseball belted four home runs and remained unbeaten in America East play with a 7-4 win over visiting Albany (8-14, 1-3 AE) Friday afternoon at Varsity Field. The Bearcats (8-15, 4-0) won for the sixth time in their last eight games and moved to 4-0 in league play for the first time since 2007.

  • Syracuse arrives in Houston ready for next challenge

    Houston, Texas (WBNG Binghamton) The Syracuse Orange are in Houston, Texas along with the other three remaining college basketball teams, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Villanova, for the 2016 Final Four. A sentence that seemed highly unlikely just a month ago.

  • BU softball sweeps Niagara, extends winning streak to eight

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sophomore pitcher Sarah Miller threw a no hitter while sophomore third baseman Kate Richard and sophomore outfielder Jessica Rutherford each homered twice, powering Binghamton (16-9) to sweep Niagara (2-16) in a non-conference doubleheader.
