  • Buffalo too much for the Bearcats

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Visiting Buffalo (8-3) opened the game with a 25-7 run and went on to post a 76-50 win over Binghamton (1-14) Tuesday night at the Events Center. The game was BU's final non-conference game of the season before the Bearcats open America East play Friday at UMass Lowell.

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton men's basketball freshman Willie Rodriguez has been recognized as the America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

  • Strong second half sends Syracuse past Long Beach State

    Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Michael Gbinije had a career-high 24 points and eight assists and Rakeem Christmas posted his fourth double-double of the season to lead the Orange (8-4) in a 85-67 victory against Long Beach State (5-9).

  • BU women fall to Bucknell despite Swinson's big day

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Visiting Bucknell (8-3) placed three players in double figures en route to a 68-57 win over Binghamton (2-11) in a non-conference women's basketball game on Sunday afternoon at the Events Center.

  • 'Together' key word for Binghamton attack

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Willie Rodriguez scored 25 points against Mount Saint Mary's. Before that, Nick Madray 20 against Saint Bonaventure. Dusan Perovic poured in a school record 34 in early December. These are all good things; problem is, they're all separate.

  • College Athlete of the Year: Tommy Moon

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) In his senior year at Maine-Endwell, Tommy Moon spent three months on the shelf at Maine-Endwell with a broken ankle. His senior year at Binghamton University presented an even greater challenge. Tommy's road back to captaining the Bearcats led him to earn our choice as College Athlete of the Year.

  • Last-second free throws doom Bearcats at Mt. St. Mary's

    Emmitsburg, MD (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Host Mt. St. Mary's (4-6) sank two free throws with 2.9 seconds remaining to sneak past Binghamton men's basketball 69-68 Monday night at Knott Arena.

  • Syracuse romps over Colgate, 78-43

    Syracuse (WBNG BINGHAMTON) A 43-point effort in the first half by Syracuse (7-4) was too much to handle for Colgate (3-9) as the Orange went on to finish off the Raiders, 78-43. For the second game in a row, Syracuse benefitted from another balanced scoring performance as five players finishing in double-figures.

  • Watkins named AEast Rookie of Week for third time

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) For the third time this season, freshman guard Imani Watkins has been named the America East Rookie of the Week. She earned the accolade by averaging 21.5 points in a pair of games this past week.

  • Watkins' career day leads Bearcats past Rider, 72-67

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Freshman guard Imani Watkins scored a career-high 29 points, leading Binghamton (2-10) to a 72-67 win over Rider (4-7) in a non-conference women's basketball game on Sunday afternoon at the Events Center.
