    Albany, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sophomore outfielder Jessica Rutherford drove in three runs while senior first baseman Lisa Cadogan and sophomore second baseman Stephanie Bielec each had a pair of RBI, powering Binghamton (30-13, 12-3 AE) to a 10-2, five-inning win at Albany (30-14, 10-3 AE) in an America East softball game on Sunday morning at Albany Field.

  • Bearcats' season ends with loss to Vermont

    Burlington, VT (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton men's lacrosse fell, 17-9, at Vermont Saturday night. Johnny Maher recorded a hat trick in the America East regular season finale at Virtue Field. BU needed to win by at least five goals to qualify for the postseason.

  • BU baseball batters NYIT in double header sweep

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton baseball (19-20) kept its nation-leading perfect home record in tact with a twinbill sweep of visiting New York Institute of Technology (17-23), winning 23-1 and 3-2 Saturday afternoon at Varsity Field. The Bearcats are 9-0 at home this spring and remain the only unbeaten team in the country on its home field.

  • Bearcats split doubleheader at Albany

    Albany, NY (WBNG Binghamton) In a battle between the top two teams in the America East, Binghamton (29-13, 11-3 AE) split an America East softball doubleheader with Albany (30-13, 10-2 AE) on Saturday afternoon at Albany Field. The Bearcats held on to win the first game, 10-8, but dropped the nightcap, 7-2.

  • BU pitcher Jacob Wloczewski suspended

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Junior baseball player Jacob Wloczewski was arrested on campus early Wednesday, April 27, 2016 and charged with driving while intoxicated.

  • BU softball sweeps Buffalo

    Buffalo, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Senior designated player Griffin McIver hit three home runs and had five RBI, powering Binghamton (28-12) to a 12-4, 11-8 sweep over Buffalo.

  • McIver named America East Softball Player of the Week

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For the second time in four weeks, senior designated player Griffin McIver has been named the America East Softball Player of the Week. McIver is a Union-Endicott grad.

  • Bearcats earn weekend sweep of Stony Brook

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sophomore third baseman Kate Richard belted a two-run double, leading Binghamton (26-12, 10-2 AE) to a 3-2 win over Stony Brook (21-21-2, 9-5 AE) in an America East softball game before a facility-record crowd of 531 fans on Sunday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
