    Syracuse (WBNG BINGHAMTON) A season-high 28 points from Trevor Cooney powered the Orange (12-4, 3-0 ACC) past the Florida State Seminoles (9-7, 1-2 ACC) on Sunday night in the Carrier Dome to a 70-57 victory. Rakeem Christmas supported the Orange down low with his fifth double-double of the season.

  • BU's defense smothers Maine en route to win

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton men's basketball used a stifling defense to pull away from visiting Maine 65-46 Saturday afternoon at the Events Center. The Bearcats (2-16, 1-2 America East) limited the Black Bears (1-14, 0-3 AE) to 16 second-half points and earned the team's first conference win going away.

  • Bearcats impress in win over Vermont

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Senior forward Sherae Swinson and freshman guard Imani Watkins each finished with a game-high 18 points, leading Binghamton (4-12, 2-1 AE) to a 73-62 win over Vermont (3-12, 0-3 AE) in an America East women's basketball game on Saturday afternoon at the Events Center. With the victory, the Bearcats have now won three of their last five games.

(WBNG Binghamton) Playing without two starters, Binghamton shot 55 percent and pushed Hartford (8-7, 1-1 America East) to the closing minutes in a 69-59 loss Wednesday night at Chase Family Arena. The Bearcats (1-16, 0-2 AE) shot a season-high 64 percent in the second half.
