  • Shoulder injury ends Walker's season

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The injury bug has hit the Binghamton University men's basketball team again. Head coach Tommy Dempsey announced Monday sophomore guard Romello Walker will miss the rest of the 2015-16 season with a shoulder injury.

  • Syracuse pulls away from Cornell

    Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Syracuse (8-3) defeated Central New York foe Cornell (5-5), 67-46, on Saturday afternoon in the Carrier Dome. The Orange turned up the heat in the second half, outscoring the Big Red 37-20, to come away with its eighth win of the season.

  • Cimino has strategy behind Bearcats' early opponents

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton University women's basketball team has already matched its win total from a season ago. Half of those wins have come against non-Division I competition. Head coach Linda Cimino says there's a few reasons the Bearcats have some lighter opponents on their schedule early in the season.

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sophomore center Dusan Perovic scored a game-high 19 points and freshman guard Everson Davis added 17 but visiting St. Francis (4-5) led the entire second half and dealt BU (2-8) a 67-61 loss Tuesday night at Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center.

  • Watkins' triple-double leads BU past Nyack

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sophomore Imani Watkins recorded the first triple-double by a Binghamton player in 23 years, leading the Bearcats (4-7) to a 65-33 win over Nyack (4-7) in a women's basketball non-conference game on Tuesday night at the Events Center.

  • Bruce, Bearcats look to bounce back after road trip

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) One of the biggest things that plagued the Bearcats on their recent 0-3 road trip was giving up points in the paint. BU's last three opponents -- Michigan State, Oakland and Buffalo -- averaged 40 points in the paint. For two of those games, BU was without freshman forward Thomas Bruce, who missed time with a concussion.

  • Orange struggle against The Red Storm in New York City

    NEW YORK CITY (WBNG Binghamton) - The Syracuse men's basketball team came up short against former BIG EAST rival St. John's despite a late comeback attempt, falling 84-72 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday afternoon. Both teams are now 7-3 on the season.

  • Sacred Heart pulls past BU women, 69-60

    Fairfield, CT (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton women's basketball team (3-7) was defeated 69-60 by Sacred Heart (2-7) in a non-conference women's basketball game on Saturday afternoon at Coach Bike Court.

  • Bearcats fall short in Buffalo

    Buffalo, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Junior guard Marlon Beck netted game-high 24 points but host Buffalo had too much inside and fended off Binghamton men's basketball 80-64 Saturday afternoon at Alumni Arena.
