    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Liz Wood finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals, leading top-seeded Maine (23-7) to a 78-71 win over host Binghamton (4-26) in an America East women's basketball quarterfinal game on Saturday afternoon at the Events Center.

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton University freshman Jasmine Sina was named the America East women's basketball Rookie of the Year on Friday night at the conference's awards banquet.

  • NCAA suspends Syracuse coach for team's drug, academic violations (Updated)

    Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The NCAA has suspended Syracuse men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim for nine ACC conference games next season due to academic, drug and gifts violations. The NCAA will also vacate 108 of Boeheim's wins as a head coach.
