    (WBNG Binghamton) After much debate about whether or not Syracuse would make the tournament field, the Orange were awarded one of the 36 at-large bids in the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship on Sunday night.

  • BU softball edges UT-Martin, 6-5

    (WBNG Binghamton) Junior third baseman Crysti Eichner drove in three runs, leading Binghamton (7-7) to a 6-5, eight-inning victory over Tennessee-Martin (15-9) in the final day of the Stetson Classic on Sunday morning at Hatter Field. With the victory, the Bearcats finished the weekend with a 2-3 record.

  • BU baseball falls short against Delaware, 5-4

    (WBNG Binghamton) Host Delaware rallied with two runs in the seventh and two more tiebreaking runs in the eighth and the Blue Hens (11-4) took the series finale 5-4 over Binghamton (2-12) Sunday afternoon at Bob Hannah Stadium.

  • #3 Syracuse stays unbeaten against St. John's

    Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The No. 3 Syracuse men's lacrosse team (5-0) made quick work of St. John's (1-6) on Saturday, jumping out to a 6-0 lead in the first-12 minutes of action to set the tone in a dominant 15-4 win.

  • SUNY Broome outlasts TC3 in season opener

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) SUNY Broome opened their men's lacrosse season at home against Tompkins Cortland Community College. The season opener proved entertaining as Jimmy Zervos scored the game-winning goal in overtime for the Hornets to beat TC3 11-10.

  • Delaware storms back to beat BU

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Looking for their first win of the season, the Binghamton Lacrosse team led 8-4 at halftime against Delaware. Just 39 seconds into OT Andrew Romagnoli ended the game with a quick goal completing the Delaware comeback with a 12-11 victory.

  • Firmly on the bubble: Cuse falls in ACC Tournament

    Washington, D.C. (WBNG Binghamton) A furious rally from a 12-point deficit ultimately came up short when Syracuse (19-13) lost to Pittsburgh (21-10), 72-71, at the ACC Tournament in Washington, D.C. Graduate student Trevor Cooney's 3-point attempt fell short in the final seconds.

  • Gbinije, Richardson named All-ACC

    (WBNG Binghamton) Graduate student Michael Gbinije, a guard, and freshmen forward Malachi Richardson earned Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA) All-ACC honors it was announced on Sunday. Gbinije was named to the All-ACC Defensive Team and second-team All-ACC, while Richardson was selected to the All-ACC Freshman Team.

  • BU women lose to Albany in the AE Semifinals, 79-43

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A season in which the Binghamton women's basketball team exceeded all expectations came to an end with a 79-43 loss to four-time defending champion Albany in the second round of the America East Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
