  • College Athlete of the Year: Tommy Moon

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) In his senior year at Maine-Endwell, Tommy Moon spent three months on the shelf at Maine-Endwell with a broken ankle. His senior year at Binghamton University presented an even greater challenge. Tommy's road back to captaining the Bearcats led him to earn our choice as College Athlete of the Year.

  • Last-second free throws doom Bearcats at Mt. St. Mary's

    Emmitsburg, MD (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Host Mt. St. Mary's (4-6) sank two free throws with 2.9 seconds remaining to sneak past Binghamton men's basketball 69-68 Monday night at Knott Arena.

  • Syracuse romps over Colgate, 78-43

    Syracuse (WBNG BINGHAMTON) A 43-point effort in the first half by Syracuse (7-4) was too much to handle for Colgate (3-9) as the Orange went on to finish off the Raiders, 78-43. For the second game in a row, Syracuse benefitted from another balanced scoring performance as five players finishing in double-figures.

  • Watkins named AEast Rookie of Week for third time

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) For the third time this season, freshman guard Imani Watkins has been named the America East Rookie of the Week. She earned the accolade by averaging 21.5 points in a pair of games this past week.

  • Watkins' career day leads Bearcats past Rider, 72-67

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Freshman guard Imani Watkins scored a career-high 29 points, leading Binghamton (2-10) to a 72-67 win over Rider (4-7) in a non-conference women's basketball game on Sunday afternoon at the Events Center.

  • Late regulation rally spurs Villanova past Syracuse in OT

    Philadelphia (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Unranked Syracuse led No. 7 Villanova the entire game until a Wildcat basket with four seconds left put the game into overtime where the host Wildcats prevailed, 82-77. Villanova improved to 11-0 on the year while Syracuse saw its record slip to 6-4.

  • Bearcats offense falters late, BU falls to Bonnies

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Visiting St. Bonaventure (7-2) used a 27-8 second-half run to pull away from Binghamton 69-51 Saturday afternoon at the Events Center. The Bonnies shot 52 percent and withstood a 20-point performance from BU forward Nick Madray.

  • Not enough for Bearcats against Siena

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Visiting Siena had four players reach double figures in scoring en route to a 62-53 win over Binghamton in a non-conference women's basketball game on Friday night at the Events Center.
