  • BU soccer releases 2014 schedule

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton men’s soccer program has announced its 2014 schedule and the Bearcats kickoff the season at Bucknell on August 29. The 18-game regular-season slate includes 10 home games, the most since Binghamton moved up to the NCAA Division I level in 2001.

  • Syracuse, Georgetown will renew basketball rivalry

    Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Long-time Big East rivals, Syracuse and Georgetown, will renew their men's basketball rivalry starting with the 2015-16 season.

  • BU's Bereszniewicz drafted by Dodgers

    (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton center fielder Bill Bereszniewicz was picked by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 28th-round of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Saturday.

  • Cimino finalizes coaching staff

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton head women’s basketball coach Linda Cimino, who was hired in April, has announced her coaching staff for the upcoming season. Mike Leflar has been named the associate head coach and Torey Northup-Jones has been named as assistant coach. In addition, Leah Truncale, who has been an assistant coach for the Bearcats since 2009, will remain on the staff.

    Stillwater, OK (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Thursday May 22 the Binghamton Bearcats lost to Hartford in the America East tournament. Three days and four wins later, BU won its second consecutive America East title on a walk-off single. Six days after that, Binghamton's season came to an abrupt end at the hands of Nebraska in the NCAA tournament.

    Stillwater, OK (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton rallied from a 4-0 hole and came within two outs of a stunning upset before 19th-ranked Nebraska scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to knock the Bearcats out of the NCAA Regional, 8-6, Saturday afternoon from Reynolds Stadium.

  • Cowboys too much for Bearcats in NCAA Regional opener

    Stillwater, OK (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton baseball put pressure on seventh-ranked Oklahoma State early in the game but couldn’t produce the big hit and the host Cowboys pulled away for an 8-0 win in BU’s opening game of the NCAA Regional Friday night at Reynolds Stadium.

  • BU baseball to play NCAA regionals in Stillwater, OK

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton baseball is headed to Stillwater, Okla. for the NCAA Regionals. The two-time reigning America East champion Bearcats (25-25) learned their placement in the bracket as the team gathered Sunday in the Events Center to watch the NCAA Selection Show, televised live on ESPNU. Binghamton will open against 10th-ranked and host Oklahoma State (45-16) in the four-team regional, which begins on Friday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

  • Bearcats win second straight America East title in 12 innings

    Lowell, MA (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Freshman catcher Eddie Posavec delivered a bases-loaded RBI single to deep left field with one out in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Binghamton a dramatic 8-7 walk-off win over top-seeded Stony Brook in the America East championship game at LeLacheur Park.
