  • Bearcat men hold on against UMBC

    BALTIMORE (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Visiting Binghamton (7-20, 4-10 AE) built an 18-point second-half lead and made 4-of-6 free throws in the final 1:32 to hold off UMBC (9-19, 5-10 AE) 72-70 Saturday night from the RAC Arena. After the Retrivers rallied to take the lead with 1:42 left, BU scored six of the game’s final eight points to lock in the win.

    BURLINGTON, VT (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Host Vermont (7-20, 3-11 AE) had four players reach double figures in scoring en route to a 74-48 win over Binghamton (4-23, 1-13 AE) in an America East women’s basketball game on Saturday afternoon at Patrick Gym.

    VESTAL (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Sophomore Sophie Racciatti and freshman Bri Arthur each netted a game-high five goals to power the Binghamton women’s lacrosse team past Howard, 20-6, Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

    VESTAL (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Binghamton (1-1) men’s lacrosse lost their home opener 13-9 to visiting Siena (2-1) on Saturday afternoon from the Bearcats Sports Complex. The Saints, who were preseason MAAC favorites, had a trio of players record a hat trick, powering them to their second straight win.
