(WBNG BINGHAMTON) We start in Class AA with Elmira's Rasean Brooks.
Brooks the leader of that vaunted Express offense, leading Elmira to the state semifinals for the first time in school history.

In Class A, it's Nick Wegmann of Vestal. Wegmann took care of the ball -- only 3 interceptions in leading Vestal to a section 4 final.

There may not have been a tougher quarterback in any class than Johnson City's Ricky Balles. Balles is known for his legs, with 18 total touchdowns, 8 of them came on the ground.

In Class C, we called his name all season: Newark Valley's Vincent Darpino. Darpino was the engine that drove the NV team this year, as Newark Valley reached the section 4 semis before losing to Forks.

And in Class D -- a record setter -- Josh Feyerbend.
Feyerbend set a New York state record with 581 passing yards in Unatego's Section 4 final against Tioga.
The crazy thing about that game? The Spartans still lost, but certainly a terrific effort from Feyerbend, as he rounds out our top quarterbacks of 2013.
