Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) History was made today at Binghamton high school Thursday as two BHS students signed Division 1 letters of intent to go to the same school.

Abbie Bideaux and Deyon Godbay both signed their letters Thursday to attend Cornell University next fall.

Bideaux has been one of the most successful track athletes in Binghamton High School history and holds multiple school records in distance running events. As for Godbay, he's a four-time state qualifier in diving, finishing as high as 4th in the state. Both are excited to have the opportunity to compete at the next level.

" It's a great feeling," said Bideaux. "I honestly never really thought that I would be running in college because I only started my freshman year. But I'm really excited and I can't wait to start."
" It feels kind of surreal," said Godbay. "All the hard work that I've put in has finally paid off and it's kind of like solidification in my attendance at Cornell."

Both also said it feels good to know they'll have a familiar face on campus, as both hope to study biology.
