Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Nick Meaney laid down a successful suicide squeeze in the top of the seventh inning, threw out two runners and picked off another, leading Johnson City Post 1305 to a 1-0 win over Oneonta to stave off elimination in the District 6 American Legion baseball tournament.

Vinny Trayling tossed a complete game shutout in the win.

In an earlier game, Bryan Hartrick's RBI groundout in the bottom of the sixth inning stood up as the winning run, leading Binghamton Post 80 past Horseheads, 1-0, in an elimination game.

Horseheads advanced earlier in the day with a 11-1 win over Binghamton Post 1645.
