Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Windsor Black Knights softball team is headed back to the state playoffs for a third season in a row. And they're hoping to capture their second state title in 3 years.

The Black Knights came up just short in it's bid to repeat as champion last year, falling in the championship game.

Now, after wining their third straight Section 4, Class B title, they're back in the tournament.

And they know the key to winning is shutting the other team down.

"We're focusing on trying to stay together as a team and playing really solid defense...defense and pitching is where its at. If we give up very little, we still have a chance to win the opportunity and I think our team is offensive enough, we make enough contact with the ball...we're going to put some pressure on people coming down the stretch," says head coach Bill Waldron.

Windsor starts it's run toward a state championship on Tuesday at 7 pm when they take on section 3 champion Solvay at Gillette high school.
