(WBNG Binghamton) After helping Harpursville return to the Class C girl's basketball state final four for the second straight year, senior Miranda Drummond was named Co-Player of the Year by the New York State Sportswriters Association.
Drummond, who is headed to play for St. Bonaventure next season, was also named first team all-state. She shares the Player of the Year honors with McKenna Maycock of Randolph.
In Class D, Franklin's Jordan Beers takes home Player of the Year honors. Beers scored more than 2,000 points in her high school career.
Meanwhile, Oneonta's Mariah Ruff caps her high school career by being named first team all-state. Ruff will be joining Drummond on the court at St. Bonaventure next season.
