Elmira upsets U-E in Class AA semis

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Elmira's Roman Wild handled Union-Endicott's line-up, and the rest of the Express took care of the Tigers pitching in the Class AA baseball semifinals on Wednesday. Elmira upset top-seed U-E 16-3 at Pete Sylvester Park.

Wild tossed a complete game two-hitter and struck out nine for the Express. At the plate, Elmira was paced by three-run home runs from Kevin Snyder and Jordan Judson.

Elmira moves on to face Horseheads in the Class AA final on Friday afternoon.

In softball, U-E used a 10-run first inning to put away Elmira. The Tigers won 13-2 to earn a spot in the Class AA title game on Saturday.
