BINGHAMTON (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Miranda Drummond scored 24 points to lead Harpursville to its second consecutive Section IV crown in Class C.

The Hornets topped Lansing, 44-33, at the Arena Saturday.

"That's been our goal to make it back to state," said Drummond. "Our first goal was to win back championships, second goal was to make it here. Now, our third goal is to just win at regionals and get to state. We just want to get back there again."

"I know a lot of coaches that never get that opportunity, " said head coach Kurt Ehrensbeck. "We've been lucky enough to have it twice and we've embraced what an incredible run we made last year but it's certainly not anything with vindication or anything like that. And from here on out, you know, we're happy to be playing in the state tournament. We're going to go play as hard as we can and we'll see what happens."

The Hornets will play the winner of Section III in the state tournament.
