Conklin (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Going into her final year at Susquehanna Valley High School, Demi May wasn't sure she wanted to continue bowling. Fast forward several months, and things have changed a bit.

Friday the senior signed on to bowl for Monmouth University. There, she'll try to continue her family's bowling prowess: both her uncle and grandfather were successful on the lanes, and her uncle coached her in high school.

Now it's her turn to add her own chapter to the story.

"It's a little scary trying to go into college and put my name on the map when theirs are already on the map, and my uncle is the coach," May said. "It's very hard to have a family-oriented sport and try to be in school at the same time, but I'm hoping I can do my family some good."

She will study physical therapy in college.
