We are getting closer to contact on the high school football field.
They ease into the season with a few days of conditioning before getting down to business.
in Johnson City, the Wildcats feel good about returning a full backfield from a season ago, and most of the line up front.
But on defense 5 starters were lost to graduation.
The schedule for class "B" JC is particularly challenging this season, with "AA" teams Ithaca and Corning along with a trip to the Carrier Dome to face Jamesville-Dewitt and new division rival and defending state champ Maine-Endwell
