Kentucky Powerhouse Coming To STOP DWI Tournament

(WBNG Binghamton) The field for the 2012 Mirabito STOP DWI Holiday Classic has added one more team as a powerhouse from Kentucky commits to this year's event.

Trinity High School from Louisville, Kentucky was added to the tournament field Saturday morning.

Trinity, which won the Kentucky state basketball title last season, was supposed to play in the Gulfshore Invitational but that event was cancelled.

The STOP DWI tournament committee is thrilled with the addition and is looking to add one more team to the national division.

They hope to announce that team in the coming days.

Two spots opened up in this year's field when two teams that had committed from Canada had to withdraw due to an on-going teachers strike.

This year's tournament will run December 28th through the 30th at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
