Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) After two days of competing, some local wrestlers punch their tickets to the national championships this summer in Fargo, North Dakota.
At 112 pounds, William Kol of Marathon took the cadet freestyle competition this morning and will compete in both free style and greco roman at nationals.
At 119 pounds, Jacob Green of Chenango Forks finished 4th and will be an alternate at nationals.
Conor Lapresi of Lansing won the 135 pound cadet freestyle event.
At 160 pounds, Gregory Kleinsmith of Johnson City won the cadet free style and like Kol will compete in both Greco Roman and free style at nationals.
Kleinsmith's Wildcat teammate Reggie Williams will also compete in both events after winning the 215 cadet free style.
On the junior side, Chenango Fork's Kyle Kelly took the greco roman competition this morning and will compete in both greco roman and free style at nationals.
At 105 pounds, Marathon's Lucas Malmberg will also compete in both.
Johnson City's Sean McCormick will compete in both events at nationals after taking the 125 pound junior greco roman competition.
Windsor's Jesse Holton finished 3rd and punched his ticket to nationals.
He'll be an alternate in the free style competition.
With their victories today, both Kelly and Malmberg won the wrestling triple crown, which is a victory in the junior division at greco roman and freestyle, as well as winning a New York State high school championship.
It's very rare to have two guys from the same area win the triple crown in the same season.
Kelly is only the second wrestler from Chenango Forks to complete the feat.
