M-E girls top Horseheads for second time

(WBNG BINGHAMTON) Class A in Section IV girl's basketball is littered with talent, as three teams are ranked in the top 25 in the state this week.

The highest ranking belongs to Vestal at 10; Maine-Endwell is 12th and Owego checks in at number 24.

All three of those teams were in action Friday.

Maine-Endwell topped Horseheads for the second time this season, winning 53-43.

Owego rolled over Chenango Forks, 69-38.

Vestal beat Elmira on the road, 62-34.

And Union-Endicott raced to a 17-4 lead and hung on to defeat Ithaca, 35-28.
