Newark Valley, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

For only the second time in school history, a Newark Valley athlete has been given a full athletic scholarship. Senior Jenna Cupp officially signed her letter of intent to attend Monmouth next year.

The former Action Sports Academic All-Star will continue her running career, joining both the cross country and track teams for the Hawks in college.

"I think it's because the team is so close and the girls and the guys team are unbelievably close," said Cupp. "They have such a good time together. Academically, they're very well ranked and it's a mile from the beach which is really nice."

Cupp will major in psychology. She joins Erin Cawley as the only athletes in Newark Valley history to earn a full athletic scholarship.
