CORTLAND (WBNG BINGHAMTON) After getting all the way to the Class B final in 2012 just to come up short, the Oneonta girls soccer team made sure they wouldn't be disappointed in 2013.

Oneonta used a pair of second half goals from Mariah Ruff and Madison Miller -- the same two who kicked the Yellow Jackets to the final a day earlier -- to slip past Marcellus and capture the Class B crown.

Down 1-0 at halftime, Oneonta tied the score early in the second. Just under six minutes in to the half, Taryn More found Ruff in front of the net on a corner kick. After the ball bounded high into the air, Ruff knocked it in to even the score.

The game remained tied at 1 until the final moments.

With just two minutes remaining, Madison Miller let loose in front of the Marcellus net. It was a weak hit, but the ball -- wet from a steady rainfall all evening -- squirted past Marcellus' keeper into the net.

Moments later, Oneonta was celebrating.

"It's unbelievable. It's like something I've never felt before.
I honestly don't even feel like I won," Ruff said after. "I can't believe we won. Madison just shot it and it got away from the goalkeeper.
And I'm just so ecstatic."

"It was the worst feeling ever leaving the field not a state champion after all the work we put in last year," Miller said. "It feels unbelievable to be right back here this year and bring it home this year."
