Town of Fenton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) After a slow start to the season, the Chenango Valley Warriors made it all the way to the state playoffs.
Now, if they want to get back, they'll have to replace a few key positions.
C.V. does have some experience returning in some positions.
But they have to replace two year starting quarterback Kevin Cox and a couple of running backs that graduated.
Head Coach Jay Hope says while there's a battle for who will be the starting quarterback.
"We kind of still have an open competition right now and it's been awhile since we've had that but it's kind of nice because we've got some very good athletes at that position and the way our offense is designed, that's what we want at that position...we want athletes," says head coach Jay Hope.
"We're always looking for somebody to take that spot because Kevin was a huge part of our offense last year so there's a lot of guys working really hard to make up for his loss but we're looking good right now. We've got a lot of players we're working in and they're looking pretty good," says senior running back Evan Trebilcock.
