Spartans punch ticket to states with win over Owego

BINGHAMTON (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Jake Sinicki scored 16 points and Kyle Gallagher chipped in with 13 to lead the Maine-Endwell boys basketball team to a Section IV championship in Class A.

With the game tied at 14 after the first quarter, the Spartans exploded to take a 33-21 lead into halftime; midway through the third quarter, M-E's lead had ballooned to 21.

Maine-Endwell won going away, 69-40.

The Spartans now face the winner of Section IX Tuesday night.
