VESTAL (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Union-Endicott used a combined 48 points from CJ Krowiak and Osama Barwari to shock second-ranked Mount Vernon in the Class AA regional final.

The Tigers won in overtime, 69-66.

"If someone said at the beginning of the year, we'd be able to beat Mount Vernon -- a perennial school in New York state in basketball -- I'd tell them they were crazy," said U-E head coach Joe Alger.

"We're not the biggest, we're not the fastest, but we play hard, we play defense and we do anything to win," said Krowiak.

U-E now gets Section 6 winner Jamestown next Saturday in Glens Falls.
