Sayre, PA (WBNG Binghamton) He's been named an NFL MVP, gone to five pro bowls and is likely a future Hall of Famer. This weekend LaDainian Tomlinson is right in our backyard.

Tomlinson brings his Preparatory Academy to Athen's High School for the next two days.

On Thursday night, the former San Diego Charger and New York Jet running back spoke about why he's visiting Northern Pennsylvania and what he hopes to accomplish.

"I'm excited that it has finally come and that we're going to be here and have the chance to work with these student-athletes. Not only this year, but this is something we want to comeback every single year and bring here. We feel like there's a lot of talent in this area that a lot of these kids may not get the type of exposure that they should get, and we want to help them get that."

Stay tuned to Action Sports on Friday for more from Tomlinson's Academy.
