Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Joey Orlando and Skyler Hoyt joined an already crowded list of Union-Endicott Tigers to sign letters of intent this year. On Tuesday, they became the ninth and tenth U-E student-athletes to sign to play sports at a Division 1 or Division II school.

Orlando will be staying close to home to play baseball for Binghamton University, while Hoyt signs on to play softball for St. Peter's.

Both say these were just the schools that stood out to them.

"St. Peter's was actually the first school I ever looked at, and then I kind of went away from it for a little bit," said Hoyt. "Then all of a sudden, something fell through and the coach contacted me and it was just the perfect fit. It fell right through."

"I think the best fit was for me to stay here and I wanted to stay here," said Orlando. "With traveling and all, I'm still going to be away from home. But when I need my laundry dried I can come right home, 10 minutes, and it'll be good."

Orlando joins fellow U-E Tiger C-J Krowiak and Vestal's Nick Wegmann as local players heading to play baseball for the Bearcats.
