Windsor, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Windsor Black Knights football team suffered through a winless season in 2011.
Now the team is working hard, hoping to reverse it's fortunes of last season.
The Black Knights return several key skill players on offense and most of it's linebackers and secondary on defense.
Players and coaches agree they want to move forward from a winless year last season.
And while coaches want players to look toward the future, players say they can't help but use not winning a game as motivation for this season.
"We're really excited to get into the first game and I think it's going to be a good game. It's going to be a lot different and we're just excited because it's going to be a new year and we're pretty optimistic about this season coming up," says senior running back Ishma'il Griffin.
"Very excited. I feel like we can recover from last year and have a bit better of a season. We've been having some great practices. Hopefully, we can win a few games this year," says junior quarterback Josh Cady.
The Black Knights also return several key players on defense, and coaches hope to see a great deal of improvement on that side of the ball.
Windsor will be tested early in the season, squaring off against Owego and Waverly in their first two games.
