While baseball has clearly defined times of year it can be played in the Northeast, wrestling just keeps on going.
After a winter sport season in high school, and competitions through the spring, the big event of the year is in the summer.

That is of course the USA Wrestling nationals in Fargo, North Dakota.
a dozen section 4 standouts are on their way to what they call a marathon session of wrestling at the highest level.
Team New York was training together at Johnson City high school the past few days, and a pair of Johnson City standouts used that experience to help get them prepared for their first ever trip to nationals.
" Coach got us to learn the basic moves that are normally hit at Fargo. And I applied all the moves he taught me to my style, and I learned how to counter the moves that I don't like to use.
They say it's the biggest tournament in the world. So I have to take my game up a couple of notches. I think I'm ready, hopefully I'll get all American. It's going to be tough though."
some will be driving out, others are flying.
After a few days of registration, the wrestling starts for real on Sunday.
