  • Windsor, U-E repeat as Section IV champs

    Town of Dickinson (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Alexis Eastman carried a no-hitter in to the final inning, leading Union-Endicott to a 3-0 win to repeat as Section IV Class AA champions. Elsewhere, Windsor pulled away from Oneonta to continue its state championship defense in Class B.

  • Vestal, Owego girls ousted by Section III teams

    Ithaca (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Section IV's girl's lacrosse champions all fell victim to Section III teams Saturday, as Vestal, Owego and Ithaca all lost.

  • M-E, Seton repeat as sectional champs

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Vestal took at 3-0 lead in the fourth inning, but Maine-Endwell responded. The Spartans responded with six unanswered runs on their way to a 6-3 win in the Section IV Class A final.

  • Sabers secure first sectional baseball title

    Vestal, NY (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Ryan Caroway pitched a three-hit shutout and drove in the game-winning run in the top of the first inning, leaded Susquehanna Valley to its first baseball title in Section IV.

    Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Not much came easy for Johnson City senior Reggie Williams. When it came down to choose which school he would wrestle for though, Binghamton University helped make for an easier decision.

  • Section IV swept out of the state lacrosse playoffs

    Cicero, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Section IV had managed just two wins against Section 3 in boy's lacrosse state playoff games over the last three years. After a trio of games Wednesday night, that number stayed the same.

  • Elmira upsets U-E in Class AA semis

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Elmira's Roman Wild handled Union-Endicott's line-up, and the rest of the Express took care of the Tigers pitching in the Class AA baseball semifinals on Wednesday. Elmira upset top-seed U-E 16-3 at Pete Sylvester Park.

  • Class AA, A All-State girl's basketball teams get released

    (WBNG Binghamton) Owego's Rachel Merrill and Maine-Endwell's Julie Yacovoni both were named to the New York All-State second team in Class A by the New York State Sportswriters Association.

  • Seton moves on in Section IV baseball tournament

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Seton put up six runs in the fourth inning, and that's all they would need on Tuesday afternoon. The Saints took care of Elmira Notre Dame 6-2 in the Section IV Class C baseball semifinals.
