    Hancock, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For a while now, the Hancock baseball team has won. Make it five sectional titles in five years for the Wildcats.

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Union-Endicott's Alexis Eastman tossed a one-hitter on Saturday in the Class AA sectional finals. A performance that allowed the Tigers to move on into states, and a group of seniors to keep playing together.

  • Vestal field hockey seniors sign off together

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) In the fall, the Vestal's field hockey team won a Section IV championship; advanced to the Class B state semi-finals; set a school record for most wins in a season with 17; and set another school record for most consecutive wins with 16. Leading the charge were 4 seniors who all made their college choices together Monday.

  • Not first rodeos for Black Knights, Spartans

    (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Playing this time of year is nothing new for Windsor softball. Section IV titles and state playoff runs have become commonplace for the Black Knights, who have won Class B state titles three times since 2007 -- including last spring.

  • M-E, Deposit bash way to sectional titles

    Town of Dickinson (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Maine-Endwell jumped out to a 9-0 lead over Corning, while Deposit scored 9 runs in all; offense propelled Maine-Endwell to a Section IV crown in Class A and Deposit to a title in Class D.

  • Windsor, U-E repeat as Section IV champs

    Town of Dickinson (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Alexis Eastman carried a no-hitter in to the final inning, leading Union-Endicott to a 3-0 win to repeat as Section IV Class AA champions. Elsewhere, Windsor pulled away from Oneonta to continue its state championship defense in Class B.

  • Vestal, Owego girls ousted by Section III teams

    Ithaca (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Section IV's girl's lacrosse champions all fell victim to Section III teams Saturday, as Vestal, Owego and Ithaca all lost.

  • M-E, Seton repeat as sectional champs

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Vestal took at 3-0 lead in the fourth inning, but Maine-Endwell responded. The Spartans responded with six unanswered runs on their way to a 6-3 win in the Section IV Class A final.

  • Sabers secure first sectional baseball title

    Vestal, NY (WBNG BINGHAMTON) Ryan Caroway pitched a three-hit shutout and drove in the game-winning run in the top of the first inning, leaded Susquehanna Valley to its first baseball title in Section IV.
