  • Elmira upsets U-E in Class AA semis

    Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Elmira's Roman Wild handled Union-Endicott's line-up, and the rest of the Express took care of the Tigers pitching in the Class AA baseball semifinals on Wednesday. Elmira upset top-seed U-E 16-3 at Pete Sylvester Park.

  • Class AA, A All-State girl's basketball teams get released

    (WBNG Binghamton) Owego's Rachel Merrill and Maine-Endwell's Julie Yacovoni both were named to the New York All-State second team in Class A by the New York State Sportswriters Association.

  • Seton moves on in Section IV baseball tournament

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Seton put up six runs in the fourth inning, and that's all they would need on Tuesday afternoon. The Saints took care of Elmira Notre Dame 6-2 in the Section IV Class C baseball semifinals.

  • Forks rallies to take home Section IV crown

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A couple days after upsetting two-time defending sectional champ and top-seed Johnson City, Chenango Forks kept its run alive. The Blue Devils edged Maine-Endwell 11-10 on Thursday to win the Section IV Class C boy's lacrosse title.

  • Title times two for Vestal

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Vestal girl's lacrosse team dropped both their regular season games against Corning this season. When it mattered though, in the Section IV Class B title game, the Golden Bears got the best of the Hawks.

  • Two more athletes make college choices

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Vestal lacrosse goalie Nick Nestlerode will be looking to make his own bit of history next year. On Tuesday, the Golden Bear signed to play lacrosse at North Greenville University in South Carolina.

  • Howard heads to Albany

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The University at Albany gained a new track runner on Tuesday, and she's a successful one. Binghamton High School's Jasmine Howard is a two-time STAC champion runner and has made the trip to states each year as a Patriot.
