  • Tioga peaking, rolling into regional playoff game

    (WBNG Binghamton) On Sept. 30, the weekly New York Sports Writers Assocation high school football polls were released. Tioga was coming off a loss in a close game to then-unbeaten Newark Valley that weekend, but fell from No. 1 in Class D to No 6. Head coach Nick Aiello says anyone who doubted his Tigers back then shouldn't any longer.

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Waverly quarterback Peyton Miller outdueled his counterpart Mark Mullins in the second half as the Wolverines beat Chenango Valley, 48-26, to win the Section IV Class B title on Saturday.

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) After trailing 22-0 in the first quarter, Deposit/Hancock responded with three touchdowns of its own to make it a three-point game. From that point on, Tioga handled the Eagles on as the Tigers went on to win their fifth straight Section IV title, 53-26.

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Maine-Endwell raced out to an 18-0 lead at the half and dominated Johnson City, 40-16, to win the Section IV Class A title on Friday night at Binghamton's Alumni Stadium. It's the Spartans sixth straight sectional crown.
