  • All-state girl's basketball teams unveiled

    (WBNG Binghamton) Susquehanna Valley's unlikely run to the Class B state title in girl's basketball this winter highlighted quite the season here in Section IV, and it was players from a couple other schools that earned the highest honors as the all-state teams were released on Wednesday.

    Town of Chenango (WBNG Binghamton) Paige Rauch pitched a complete game, no-hit shutout and hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to lead top-ranked Windsor past Chenango Forks, 2-0.

    Johnson City (WBNG Binghamton) No. 13 Johnson City used a four-point game from Alex Sprague-Getsky (two goals, two assists) and two goals from Josh Davis to hand No. 9 Maine-Endwell its first loss of the year, 6-4.

    Vestal (WBNG BINGHAMTON) At one time in their lives, Tomasina Leska and Katarina Tibensky weren't sure if Division I athletics were in their future. Now, they know it better than ever, as both signed D-I letters of intent Friday afternoon at Vestal High.

    Conklin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Susquehanna Valley's Lain Zembec drove in six runs as SV put up double-digits on the scoreboard in a 14-4 win over Norwich on Thursday.

  • Wednesday's high school roundup: Saints double up Tornado

    Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Seton scored four runs in the fourth inning to break open a tight game against Norwich on Wednesday afternoon. That helped the Saints beat the Purple Tornado 10-5 at NYSEG Stadium.

  • Walton's Hoover to be inducted into NYSPHSAA Hall of Fame

    (WBNG Binghamton) Walton high school football coach Jim Hoover is going into New York State Public High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame this summer.

  • Tuesday's high school roundup: Vestal tops Ithaca

    Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Up by just one late in the first half, Vestal went on a three-goal run to end the second quarter. That helped the Golden Bears put away Ithaca, 17-11, in boy's lacrosse on Tuesday night.
