" It's like we have a connection. We pass the ball and somebody is right there."
" Me and Kylie have been playing together since 8th grade and then lobo came in 9th grade so we've been playing together for so many years we just seem to know where each other is on the field and it makes it a lot easier to play together"
Lindsey Lobevero says, " We've been playing together since we were little, and we just know that each other is going to be there ....We just know."
" There's no better 1-2-3 punch than Lobevero, Dwornik and Strom, in the league, I don't believe. "
Stepanovsky does more than just enjoy his triumvirate's offensive output. He's there to help lead them when they need it most.
Senior Courtney Salmon says, " Stepo, I feel like he should be a football coach with the earpiece instead of yelling. He made a comment at halftime that he doesn't know how much, how many more games his heart can take because he's yelling so loud."
Kylie Strom says, " He loses his voice after each game. One year he ended up doing a summersault on the sideline because he got so excited. He's into it and it's awesome. "
Stepanovsky says, " I took a coaching class one time and they told me I talk too much in the game. This is my style. I've got to let the kids know they're playing well and what to do and keep firing them up. I think they feed off me a little bit and that's good to see."
Whatever the case, it appears to be working, as the undefeated Tigers are set to begin sectionals this week.
