" I think that was the best defensive performance since I've been here at Syracuse."

In helping limit the Irish to just 41 rushing yards on Saturday, Arthur Jones made a game-high 15 tackles including four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. And he did it on the road and in the national spotlight.

Saturday's game capped off a wild week for the SU football team.
After Greg Robinson was fired on Sunday, some questioned how motivated his players would be come kickoff.
Not that his dedication was ever in doubt, Art got some added incentive from his opponent.
" Really I was just trying to get back in it. I know a time we were down and they were talking smack saying Look at the scoreboard...And it kind of got to me a little bit. I kept flying around making plays. At the end of the game I made sure to get back to the guy and say look at the scoreboard now. "
Earlier this season Jones had brought up the possibility of leaving school early to enter the NFL draft.
His stock is sky high right now, but his focus is on the next game.
" I don't really know. I'm just worried about Cincinnati now and finish up the season strong."
