" Well, I looked around the room and I looked at your attendance and support, the resources are here. Some of the pieces of the puzzle are here. In this league if you get a full fit of the puzzle, you can win in this league. That really attracted me from day 1. I came in, I remember leaving from North Carolina, we were playing in the first round regionals, and I got a call to come up on a sunday, and I couldn't do it and eventually came up on a Monday. I got on the plane and I said, well, let me go in with an open mind. I took a 20-minute power nap and I woke up and he said we're descending into Binghamton, I looked out the window and thought I was going to Alaska. I said no, let's go in with an open mind. When I walked on this campus, my eyes lit up and I said this may be the place for me."
" Your reputation precedes you, that of a world class recruiter. Is that a good thing or a label that you'd like to prove that there's more to you than just a recruiter?"
" It is what it is. So they say I'm a great recruiter, we've got to keep that great recruiting going. My thing now is putting in the recruiting, along with X's and O's, and winning ball games right here at the Events Center. It is what it is, I am who I am, and if they put that tag on me, I have to hold it up and hold it well."
" Last question, have you had a spiedie yet?"
" I'm sorry?"
" Have you had a spiedie yet?"
" What is a spiedie?"
" You're going to find out."
