The Vestal golf team is 9 and 0 this season.
Part of it's success is it's number one player.
In 9 matches, Pat Milkovich averages a score of 35.7.
That's 3 tenths of a shot UNDER par.

Pat says, "You've got to think one hole at a time, one shot at a time. You have a bad hole, that happens. You're not always going to shoot a good round and good holes every time. You're not always going to have a par or birdie. So if you get a bogey or double bogey, you just gotta look forward to it. Get it back on the next hole, make your par or birdie at best."

Coach Tony Policare says Milkovich's success is a huge reason his team is undefeated.
He says it's what Milkovich does after practice that makes him a special player.

"He has dedicated himself and done the things you need that you have to do to aspire to that level which is uncommon amount of time. Practice before and after, be the first guy here, the last guy off, do the things other guys aren't willing to do and he's done those things."
Milkovich had broken par twice before for the golf team.
As for his success this season...he has a very simple formula.

"It's just shooting at the 150 stick. Getting the 150 club is the most important thing, because if you know where that 150 yard marker is, you're in the fairway every time so you have an easy shot to the green."

Milkovich says while he's proud of his season, he's also proud of his team's undefeated record.
And hopes both he and the team continue their strong play through the end of the season.
