On days like this it's hard to believe it's also basketball season.
The America East has their media day and will announce preseason rankings on Thursday.
Today in our action sports spotlight,we talked with both the men and women at BU to see where they expect to finish the season.

" Championships...That's the only goal I like to say. You want to win championships, we're here to win championships."

That's always the goal, but coach Mark Macon added he has no expectations of where his team should finish.

League wide, the women's team will undoubtedly garner loftier expectations when the coaches announce their preseason rankings.
They return 4 seniors, their top 5 scorers and rebounders and want to make a run at their first league title.

Senior Viive Rebans says, " It takes something special to be that championship team and I think if we're going to be great this year it's because we believe we can be great."

Coach Nicole Scholl adds, " The great thing about this team is we have a lot of returners and now we've added to that system. So it's very exciting because we're so much further ahead than where we were last year when we changed up some things."
The women will have to work to replace the scoring of guard Andrea Holmes early on as she works back from off season knee surgery.

Back on the men's side, the team is replacing their top 3 scorers, a first team all conference guard and an all defensive team forward.
And while there is new talent, coach Macon will rely on his motion offensive system to generate shots early on.

And the players back from last year feel they are better prepared to run that system now.

Jimmy Grays says, " We had to adapt and learn the system well so it get easier. Finding where shots are easier to get open, things like that."

The men's team does have good size, and coach Macon said they will rely on 6 foot-9 senior Kyrie Sutton to be a leader and help pick up the rebounding and scoring.
